Behind the Design
With over six years of experience as a graphic designer and five years of experience as a business owner, I offer an encompassing perspective on visual communications. I understand the value of good design and it’s place in our modern world. I have managed multiple projects and marketing campaigns which have required a strong technical skill set in studio art, project management, print production, web design and UI design.
Notable projects from 2014 include leading the branding initiative for PowerMoves.NOLA, which launched this past summer, alongside ESSENCE Festival™ in New Orleans. We developed materials that captured the spirit of New Orleans and the developing local entrepreneurial ecosystem. PowerMoves.NOLA is an initiative of the New Orleans Startup Fund (NOSF), sponsored by Chevron, and in a promotional partnership with ESSENCE Festival™ presented by Coca-Cola® (www.powermovesnola.org/about/). This year, I'll be working with the team again as we establish a national presence with the launch of PowerMoves.Detroit.Other notable projects include serving as a creative partner for the 2013 Entrepreneur Week, launched by The Idea Village, with one mission: to identify and retain top entrepreneurial talent in NOLA. The Idea Village has been a giant success. This past year alone, NOEW attracted over 5000 entrepreneurs and some of the top names in business such as The Google Entrepreneurship Program and SalesForce.
In recent years, I've helped drive the brand refresh for many clients including Join E.K. Riley of E.K. Riley Investments, a registered broker-dealer and registered investment adviser based in Seattle, Washington, with over eighteen offices across the country. Additionally, I've helped companies in a variety of industries including financial services, technology, biomedical research, education, hospitality, food services, and many more.
